Who doesn't love easy cross crafts? Boredom buster, faith builder...
...if you discuss the Gospel stories while you're doing it...
...and potential soft evangelism...
...invite non-Christian friends over for craft projects. Maybe include an airplane or a kitten along with a cross.
After all, we love glue and markers and construction paper in this house. And we also love Jesus. So this is perfect.
Funny Kid Craft Story + Why We ♥ Bible Crafts....
Of my two kids, one of the them calls himself an artist. It's super cute. "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to be an artist and a baker and..." I forget the third thing that he wants to be.
Lately, he's been insisting that he is already an artist. So we have an art station positioned next to the couch in the living room....
Which means that there is usually glitter on the floor, stickers on the wall, and markers laying on every visible surface. (My artist is 5, and he likes to make fairly rowdy art project when his friends come over.)
We've always been trying to instill in our kids a real and living faith. So far, that involves thanking God for roller coasters and asking who would win in a fight: Jesus or the Hulk.
I've found that crafts are a good way of engaging with the kids, and more effective than trying to get them to sit still and listen to a Bible story for anything more than 30 seconds. As we're making cross crafts, we can talk about Jesus and maybe I can even sneak a parable from the Gospels into conversation.
In the spirit of living and doing your faith, here are 11 easy cross crafts to create with the littles.
