If you want a fun and challenging memory game to complement a Noah’s ark lesson, then try this Noah’s ark memory game. This is great for kids of all ages, and can get challenging especially as the kids get older. Simply start by sitting in a circle and having one person name an animal that Noah took on the ark, “Noah took a [animal or bird] on the ark,” and add a new animal for each participant. Every person has to say their animal and all the animals that came before them.

Instructions
In this game, the first person says, “Noah took a [animal or bird] on the ark.” The next person repeats
what the first said then adds a new animal or bird: “Noah took a [first animal or bird] and a [second animal or bird] on the ark.” The third person says the first two animals and adds a third: “Noah took a [first animal or bird] and a [second animal or bird] and a [third animal or bird] on the ark.” Go on like that until someone forgets the order, then start again.
Variations
You can change up your Noah’s ark memory game by including a few variations.
- Name your animals or birds in alphabetical order. Start with an “a” animal. Add a “b” animal. Keep the same rule that each person needs to say all the animals that came before them.
- With older kids and youth, try adding obscure animals. Instead of “giraffe” and “elephant”, maybe Noah took a “chinchilla” and a “tardigrade” on the Ark.
- Also with older kids and youth, try naming animals by continent. What if Noah had lived in Canada? Then he would take a “black bear” and a “beaver” on the ark. What if he had lived in Australia?
- Try playing this game with categories of animals. What if Noah took only fluffy animals on the ark? Only poisonous animals? Have the kids come up with other categories.
