The Lord’s Prayer is a great prayer to teach to children of all ages, and these free printable coloring pages and worksheets will help kids to commit this powerful prayer to memory.
The Lord’s Prayer – also known as the “Our Father” prayer – is the one prayer that Jesus specifically taught us to pray. We find this prayer in Matthew 6:13-19. This prayer is such a great example to use when teaching kids (or anyone!) to pray because it includes worship or adoration (recognizing God as Creator and King of the whole universe), asking specifically for what we (and others) need for today, confession and repentance, a recognition that we need to forgive others as well, and a request that it be God’s kingdom that reigns on earth (not our kingdoms or our own ideas). This is a great way to teach kids to ask for help, ask for forgiveness, forgive others, and try to submit their own desires to God’s plan. It is also a great lesson in trust! We need to trust that God’s will will be done in the end, even when things seem tough, confusing, unfair, etc. at the time.
These fun printable activities will help to teach children the Lord’s Prayer in a creative way. Print coloring pages to use in church, in Sunday School, in the classroom, for homeschool, or just for fun at home. Or choose the fill in the blank worksheets to help kids commit this prayer to memory.
Contemporary Version of the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
Traditional Version of the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

I hope your grandkids love this, Donna! Thanks so much for your encouraging words.
So Thankful to have found this. Just what I was looking for. Canโt wait to share my Precious Granddaughter. What a fun way to teach our children about our Lord.
God Bless you for what youโre doing. Many Blessings to you.
Rebecca,
My husband and I wanted to do a quick lesson for our 7-year-old little girl today, and I came across your site. It was everything I needed. We did the “God’s Love” lesson with the hearts and markers. It was engaging and even made my husband think more deeply about love and how to accept kindness from others. Do you have an Instagram page?
God bless you and your family,
Carie
I’m so glad that the God’s Love lesson went so deep with your family! I am almost non-existent on Instagram…maybe that will change someday. Thanks for the feedback!
These printables are wonderful, Rebecca! I love creating similar resources as this, very practical and so much fun! Thank you sweet sister … ๐๐
